Sue was Artistic Director of The Everyman Theatre Cheltenham from 1996 to 2007. Directing credits there include: My Mother Said, Hedda Gabler, The Tempest, Macbeth, Much Ado about Nothing. Twelfth Night, Jam Tomorrow, Katherine, Sherbet Lemon, The Bacchae, Secrets, The End of the Pier Show, A Christmas Carol, Shakespeare’s Bottom, Finding Alice, Mrs Pepys, Actually Moving,  The Haunted Man, Ship of Fools.  

Other directing credits include for Tilt Theatre Company: Yerma, Twelfth Night. Midsummer Nights Dream, Macbeth, Lust of The Eyes, Night Mother. The High Window, Alice-the Way Back. For Freefall Theatre Company: Berkoffs Decadence. For The Oxford Stage Company The Provoked Wife. For Show of Strength Why Don’t We Do It, and for Red Dog The Yellow Wallpaper, Jocasta Mama.

Sue trained as an actor at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has worked for, among others, the RSC, The National, Bristol Old Vic, Actors Touring Company, Northampton Theatre Royal and Oxford Stage Company where she was nominated for Olivier Comedy performance of the year.
She has led many workshops and lectures in Europe, USA and the UK.
